It is well

Dear friends

Has a pastor or a Christian friend ever said this to you?
Perhaps in the middle of a severe storm you were facing?

“It is well.”

Me, I must admit I have sometimes hated this, when a pastor said it and I was not feeling it.
NOT.
AT.
AAALLL.

And when I was suffering from severe spiritual attacks, during some time, I had the support of the senior pastor of a church I was attending at the time and I had the feeling that he and his wife were stopping me when I wanted to even describe, even talk about all the attacks and what I was going through and I wanted to explain to them what I had been experiencing for so many years and all the ways the devil and his cohorts had been bugging me.

And they seemed to even not wanting me to talk about it at all.

The saying “It is well” seemed to be their way of ending my complaints and starting to speak about what GOD can do and how great HE is and how HE will deliver me.

It took me quite some time to understand what they were doing and what they were trying to teach me.

In fact, I did learn more and more about the power of the tongue over the years and about confessing and declaring GOD’s word over my situation and over my life, but my understanding came to new levels a few times.

One was when a beloved sister of mine came to CHRIST.
I had been praying for her for many years, I had met her when I myself was still in the middle of my involvement with the occult, the New Age Movement, I was already in the stage where I dreaded the astral attacks from the satanist who haunted me for many years, but I hadn’t yet arrived at my lowest point where I had become truly desperate and extremely suicidal to an extend where I was thinking about ending my life every day and where I was even unable to take care of myself and had no food, no money and even no accommodation at some point – many times…
So I had met her during that time and although she is many years younger and lived a completely different life than I did, we always had a strong love for each other and even though we lived in different countries and were “into” different stuff ( I wasn’t even into anything much other than my suffering, and this is part of what I want to bring across today), she was one of the very few people who knew about the attacks going on in my life and she was always supportive and loving and she was there for me whenever I reached out.
We managed to stay in contact throughout all these years without ever seeing each other again – the last time we saw each other was in 2014…
But when I became born again and when GOD led me out of all this extreme darkness, I shared it with her and I tried to convince her that JESUS is the only one who will be able to help her and solve her problems as HE had solved mine.
It wouldn’t be until another 4.5 years down the line during which we always somehow stayed in touch and I always tried to inspire her to give JESUS a chance and then one day, she messaged me and told me she had given her life to HIM.

What joy!

And then came a period where I did my best to teach her what I had learned.

I found myself doing the same things the pastors had done to me and I understood more and more why they had done it.

They wanted to stop me from talking about the devil and his wiles and his minions and thus giving him glory and attention.
Wanted to stop me from confessing the devil’s power over me.

This is one aspect of the statement “It is well.”

To shift our focus from whatever it is that is troubling us and that the devil is trying to do to us towards who GOD is for us and in our lives and towards what HE can do.

The bible says the power of life and death lies in the tongue.
When we say it is well in the middle of our troubles and regardless of what we feel or see, we are exercising this power!
The bible also says that we overcame him (the devil) by the word of our testimony.
Confessing, declaring and stating that it is well also gives us victory, friends!

The other major aspect I have discovered and am still discovering more and more is that it is the truth.

It is well.

No matter what is happening, no matter the attacks, no matter the challenges or disappointments or struggles I am facing, it is still well with me as long as I am with GOD.

At the moment, I am in a situation where it is not clear if I made a complete fool out of myself by obeying what I believed to be GOD’s instructions or if I have come a big step closer to my destiny.
Me, I still believe in the latter – even though I have no proof and the outside situation doesn’t look like it, but I have acted on words I have received from GOD and thus, all is well.

I am convinced, convicted and absolute certain that it is well.

I haven’t done anything wrong.

If the other person doesn’t receive me, that’s fine and I am not sorry for anything I did or said.

And if I now went on to watch videos about “how to make him attracted to you” and all that stuff, I would try it the worldly way and I could buy new clothes, get new nails and a new hairdo, but this is not what I want, it is not what I want to be the reason for a man to notice me and to be attracted to me!
Yes, I am doing my best to take care of myself and I am also attracted to this man physically and I believe there needs to be physical attraction as well, but this is so much more complex and not only about the outward appearance!
Plus, if this is from GOD, there will be mutual attraction, too!
If my approach, my countenance, my manner of conducting myself in the place where he sees me and what I said to him doesn’t appeal to him, doesn’t please him and doesn’t make him want to know me more and doesn’t appeal to his desire for a godly spouse, or if I have even been mistaken to perceive this as an instruction from GOD in the first place, in a nutshell, if this isn’t from GOD, it is not for me.
If this isn’t from GOD, I don’t want it!
I have tried relationships in the worldly way so many times and the last time when I thought I was listening to GOD, I was truly listening to the flesh and to the devil – I think I have learned my lessons now.
But if it doesn’t ring true for him in his spirit, if he doesn’t feel like responding, if he wants something else, someone else, a different kind of woman or a different approach – then this is not my man.
Simple as that.

Which brings me back to the statement and the truth of the day:

“It is well.”

I have overcome wanting to push too much and trying to press for something to come to pass when it is not for me – or not from GOD or not GOD’s will for my life.

Again, if this is for me, if this is the man GOD has for me, he will be my man and GOD will speak to him and will make him overcome all the hurdles he may be facing (I have a slight perception of what they might be) and he will give us both the grace and the courage to give each other a chance.
Don’t get me wrong, I have reservations and fears, too!
I, too, am thinking of running away and disregarding this, in fact, it has taken me quite some time to obey the instructions in the first place…
However, I know that if it is from GOD, there is hardly anything any of us can do to mess this up.
AND if it isn’t, all is still well.

It is well.

My friends, it is always well with you – as long as you have GOD in your life and in your heart.

Nothing is more important than that.

Please let me tell you from what I have been through and from knowing the difference of doing life with and without GOD – HE is everything and HE is all we truly need.
ALL the other requests are just “nice to have” requests – and I totally get that they do not feel like a nice to have at the time, they feel as if we must have what we believe we are lacking!
Be it health, finances (even to survive), a job, a spouse – but if the one thing we MUST have, the main and top NECESSITY was taken away, everything else would be meaningless and worthless as well.

We MUST HAVE JESUS, we must!

And when we do, it is well.
JESUS has all we need and he IS all we need.

JESUS CHRIST came to earth as the SON OF GOD to save us all from the devil. And HIS works are still relevant today, HE is as alive today as he was more than 2000 years ago. And if you are not saved, HE wants to save you today, right here and right now: please don’t stay under the power of the king of darkness, please join us and give your life to THE LORD.

Here is an example of what you can pray in your heart right now, if you want to make JESUS LORD over your life:

“Dear Heavenly Father, I acknowledge and confess that I have not lived my life for YOU to this day, but have been living for myself and in sin and that is wrong. Please forgive me of all of my sins just as I forgive others. I need YOU in my life; I want YOU in my life.
I recognize the completed work of YOUR only begotten Son JESUS CHRIST in giving HIS life for me on the cross, I believe in my heart JESUS is LORD and that HE was raised from the dead and ask for YOUR forgiveness, which YOU have made freely available to me through this sacrifice.
Come into my life now, LORD!
Take up residence in my heart and be my KING, my LORD, and my SAVIOUR!
From this day forward, I will no longer be controlled by sin, or the desire to please myself, but I will follow YOU all the days of my life. Those days are in YOUR hands.
I ask this Jesus name.
Amen.”

If you have just prayed this prayer, you are now part of GOD’s kingdom and family and I heartily welcome you, my dear brother or sister!

The next thing to do is get a bible and find a church where you can receive further instructions, so that your new life in THE LORD may prosper and that you will become who HE made you to be.

GOD bless you and if you have any questions or need any assistance, please get in touch.

I hope and pray that this will inspire, encourage, heal and bless you.
And that THE LORD will bless you richly in all areas of your life; that HE will keep you and shine HIS face upon you and bring you PEACE. In JESUS’ name I pray. AMEN.
