Dear friends,
we’re all in a fasting boot camp at the moment, like it or not – aware of it or not.
Most people on the entire planet have to abstain from many things these days during the lockdown.
We can’t go to places we want to got to, we cannot visit all the people we would like to see, many of us can’t go to work like they used to or even lost their job…
Almost everybody on earth has to make sacrifices in this current situation – even if it will not be food for most of us, hopefully, most of us will still have food and a roof over their heads, but many other things are lacking…
There are 2 aspects of this which struck me lately
#1 Who will receive our sacrifice
I think fasting is a good example of how the enemy tries to steal souls!
Fasting and prayer is an ancient, biblical principle – it is in the book.
And from my personal experience, fasting is the most powerful tool GOD has given us for spiritual success!
I am a HUGE fan of fasting and the longer I have been walking with GOD, the more I have fasted…
I would almost say that my fasting periods have taken a lot of room in my life, perhaps more than the ones when I allow myself to indulge – because indulgence is so dangerous spiritually – it can easily open the door for lustful spirits (these are the kinds of evil spirits I am prone to be vulnerable to the most and the devil knows it!).
And it also weakens us spiritually – even if we are not getting physically fat, we can become lazy and tired and ineffective in our spiritual battles if we do not keep the flesh “in check” / submitted… it is what Paul describes in Galatians, the constant war of the flesh against the spirit – and make no mistake about it, when you are a Christian, this war will be your battle CONSTANTLY for the rest of your life!
The enemy has so much stamina and endurance, a lot more than most of us have, at least I can say wholeheartedly that I am struggling with being “on” all the time spiritually, but that’s when I get hit, when I am not… and I am no exception, it is the same principle for all of us – and I found fasting to be a good principle to keep on top of this battle – or at least more on top of it as when I am not fasting – here is what Paul said, the scripture I meant:
Galatians 5:17-21
17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.
18 But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.
Plus, if you have studied the enemy like I have (like I had to), you will know that they, too, fast for their goals – I mean satanists, witches, agents of the devil – they are fasting purposefully, to be successful in their evil plots and aims, to destroy marriages, to let people become ill, to combat success, happiness and joy, to make people’s lives miserable and to break through against GOD’s blessings in people’s lives – yes, just like we are fasting against the devil and his wiles, the devil’s agents are fasting against GOD’s protection for us – because fasting WORKS.
And one of the most common snares of the devil is to steal our souls away by letting us make sacrifices to him – instead of sacrificing to OUR GOD.
All the health food industry hype about fasting – it is just a clever plot of the enemy!
When you fast for GOD, you will not only lose weight just like if you do “their” juice fasting or intermittent fasting or whatever they call it – but you will also become spiritually strong and get closer to GOD!
BUT if you do it according to their rules, you bring the sacrifice to the wrong altar – you can actually worship the devil by doing these things, just like the vegan “cult” is actually a false religion, it has now even become recognized as a religion officially!!!
(Why are so many Christians vegans???
I have no idea… – just like I cannot understand how there can be such things as “Christian yoga classes” – but this is subject for another article)
What I mean to say is that GOD allowed the devil to lock us all up – and if we worship the virus or our losses or hand sanitizer or if we are giving our sacrifices of this time to anyone or anything else, we will in fact worship the devil, who is most likely responsible for this worldwide pandemic and who is trying to steal souls – because that’s his job and that’s what he always does.
But if we understand and remember to do everything for GOD and to stay close to HIM, the devil has no chance!
Colossians 3:23
“And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;”
#2 Our faith in these circumstances
Earlier this morning, I surfed a bit on the internet… and came across some stories of some celebrities who had been stuck somewhere in the world where they not normally live and now they have been there for a few weeks and are reporting what a blessing this situation has been – of course, they wouldn’t put it this way, but me, I thought, yes, that’s exactly what it COULD be, a blessing!
And my personal lockdown situation has been a blessing in many ways, too. Even though I also suffered… but my suffering did not have so much to do with the lockdown, the lockdown only may have intensified my suffering as I was unable to run away from my issues, but on the other hand, it was also good to be alone more and have the time to deal with these things as they have been very heavy and now, I feel much better…
The point I am trying to make is this:
we are exactly in the place and in the circumstances GOD wants us to be in.
There is no difference in regards to this from before or during or after the lockdown.
GOD is in 100% total control of our lives, because we are HIS children.
And some people are blessed and trapped in paradise for all these weeks, together with their loved ones and they are enjoying a holiday they could have never had or at least not for so long…
This may be the exception and I am also not amongst these blessed people and I am assuming most of you aren’t either, but what I am trying to say, this is just like all the other situations and times in our lives – some of us are blessed and happy and healthy and loved and prosperous and successful and having and getting everything they want – but 99% of us are NOT.
And when we are ill or lose our job or a relationship breaks down or we struggle in any area of our lives – this is us before the lockdown and hopefully we can all remember this now (including me!) – these tests and trials can only happen to us because GOD allows them!
Even satan himself can only attack us if GOD allows him to (remember Job)!
Job 23:10
But He knows the way I take;
When He has tried me, I shall come forth as gold.
The only difference is now, GOD has allowed almost all of us together with all the unbelievers to be tried at the same time…
I don’t know about you, what you heard from GOD during this time?
Me, I kept hearing about the refining, the purifying process for gold or silver, about fire, the fiery furnace…. and sometimes during this lockdown, I felt as if I was burning, boiling, suffering in some sort of fire… have you?
There are many scriptures about this process as being a godly process and also used as a metaphor, here are some, pray if they resonate with you and ask GOD if this is what HE is doing in your life nowadays – as I feel this is part of what HE is doing in mine…
Zechariah 13:8-9
It will come about in all the land, Declares the Lord,That two parts in it will be cut off and perish;
But the third will be left in it.
And I will bring the third part through the fire,
Refine them as silver is refined,
And test them as gold is tested.
They will call on My name,
And I will answer them;
I will say, They are My people,
And they will say, The Lord is my God.Malachi 3:2-4But who can endure the day of His coming? And who can stand when He appears? For He is like a refiner’s fire and like fullers’ soap. He will sit as a smelter and purifier of silver, and He will purify the sons of Levi and refine them like gold and silver, so that they may present to the Lord offerings in righteousness. Then the offering of Judah and Jerusalem will be pleasing to the Lord as in the days of old and as in former years.
Isaiah 48:10
Behold, I have refined you, but not as silver;
I have tested you in the furnace of affliction.Proverbs 17:3
The fining pot [is] for silver, and the furnace for gold: but the LORD trieth the hearts.Psalms 66:10-12
For thou, O God, hast proved us: thou hast tried us, as silver is tried.
For me, this is a trial… a huge one…. not only so long, but also worldwide… and I can see many tolls this has taken on many people, on us as mankind even…
But I refuse to let this be attributed to the enemy, to all those who have plotted this – they, too, are subject to GOD and to HIS power and if HE would decide to stop them (which HE will most likely not do, because this is according to HIS plan as the bible describes), they would all be crushed in a second – like HE destroyed so many of the enemies of the Israelites, of HIS people before.
HE is in charge.
HE has all the power.
And HE will decide how this will end for every single one of us and for those who caused all this harm – whoever they are.
It is my firm belief that this pandemic is not a physical, but a spiritual disease that the enemy tries to spread worldwide, even the ones who are not infected by the virus are supposed to be infected by fear and terror, by frustration and sadness about their personal circumstances, by loss of loved ones, by loneliness and worry….
Dear friends, let us pray, pray for the world, for those who are in need, for those who are ill, for those who are struggling, financially, emotionally, physically – just like before, only more than before, because the enemy cannot take over any territory by this, we are stronger, we are more!
And me, I believe this will be starting the greatest revival ever on earth, because GOD can use everything the enemy tries to use and turn it around – and in these times when we are all faced with our helplessness and dependency, when we all must see and admit to ourselves that there is nothing we could possibly do without GOD, I believe that many people, who have not known this before will come to see the truth, will realize that there is only ONE GOD and that HE is the ruler and creater of heaven and the earth!
If you don’t know JESUS CHRIST as your LORD and SAVIOR and have not given your life to him until now, please do not wait any longer!
You can get right with GOD right here and right now by praying this prayer:
“Dear Heavenly Father, I acknowledge and confess that I have not lived my life for YOU to this day, but have been living for myself and in sin and that is wrong. Please forgive me of all of my sins just as I forgive others. I need YOU in my life; I want YOU in my life.
I recognize the completed work of YOUR only begotten Son JESUS CHRIST in giving HIS life for me on the cross, I believe in my heart JESUS is LORD and that HE was raised from the dead and ask for YOUR forgiveness, which YOU have made freely available to me through this sacrifice.
Come into my life now, LORD!
Take up residence in my heart and be my KING, my LORD, and my SAVIOUR!
From this day forward, I will no longer be controlled by sin, or the desire to please myself, but I will follow YOU all the days of my life. Those days are in YOUR hands.
I ask this Jesus name.
Amen.”

The next thing to do is get a bible and find a church (offline or online!) where you can receive further instructions, so that your new life in THE LORD may prosper and that you will become who HE made you to be.
