Dear friends
When we used to have a weak internet connection, back in the early days of the internet, can you remember how long it took until a page had been uploaded?
Or when we were watching something and the wifi was unstable?
Sometimes there is nothing we need to do but wait for our results to load, to come through, for the answers of our prayers to fully connect with GOD and then back with us.
There is nothing we did wrong, nothing more we can do, all we need is faith.
Unwavering faith.
Because at the time when our results are loading, the enemy will be raging.
Will gather up all his cunning skills and lies to convince us that our results will not come through, that all our prayers were in vain, that GOD in fact doesn’t even hear prayers at all, let alone our prayers, that HE doesn’t love us, that HE may sometimes do stuff for other people, but never for us, that HE never actually did anything for us, that all we thought was GOD was only a coincidence and would have happened anyway, that GOD would never allow us to be so afflicted IF HE WAS REAL….
Any of this sound familiar?
Don’t give up my friend!
If GOD has said it, HE will do it for you!
That everything looks dire and too hopeless is actually a good sign!
Why is that so?
If GOD wasn’t doing anything, the devil wouldn’t be bothered and would leave you alone, in fact, he would be happy for you to be meandering around without making any progress, and he would most likely either be completely silent or perhaps send you a few little temptations to lure you into sin – but if he is RAGING and ATTACKING with all his might, that means you are about to be victorious, about to break through – why else would he do all he can to discourage you?
Think about it!
If he actually had you, would he need to frustrate you?
Not at all!
He would do his best to keep you and keep you from running to GOD.
But if GOD has something great for you and if this is about to manifest, if it is close, then the devil has to shoot with all he has.
Make sense?
For me, it does make sense – except when I am in the situation and getting discouraged and frustrated myself!
Remember this my friend, and I also need to remind myself: the devil is a master of manipulating our feelings, but our feelings are not the same as our reality and our spiritual life!
GOD is faithful and HE is the ONE AND ONLY TRUE GOD, whether we can feel HIS PRESENCE or not, whether we believe in HIM or not, whether we are happy with what HE is doing in our lives or not.
GOD doesn’t lie!
So if you are currently hearing that you are stupid, unwanted and that your dreams will never, ever come true, it’s a lie!
The OPPOSITE is true!
Even if GOD wasn’t going to answer your prayers, do you really believe HE would speak to you like that???!!?
HE is a loving and kind GOD.
HE may say “no” sometimes to our requests, or may require us to wait or sometimes, HE may even choose to remain silent, however, HE will NOT discourage us! Or even attack or slander us. That’s something only the other one does!
Last, but not least:
Remember without faith, it is impossible to please GOD (Hebrews 11:6).
And if we could already see it and be certain of it and if it was clear “it” was going to happen, what would we need faith for?
Hebrews 11:1
11 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Believing in something we can see is walking by sight.
NOT by faith.
And that isn’t what we are called to do.
2 Corinthians 5:7
For we walk by faith, not by sight
And THE LORD HIMSELF also gave an instruction for what to do when we desire something:
Mark 11:22-25
22 And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.
23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain,
Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart,
but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass;
he shall have whatsoever he saith.24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire,
when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

GOD will answer your prayer!

Great points Eva. We are so different from God’s ways and his timing. With God one day is as a thousand years and a thousand years as one day, yet his timing with everything is perfect, down to the millisecond.

And you are in my prayers as well. Last night we as a family talked about God’s timing with our handicapped daughter. She brought it up. She lives in such pain as well as trusting God for deliverance in his time. One of life’s tight ropes we walk over the deep canyons of life, hanging on to Jesus. He is our healer in his time.

In many ways and many times it’s all we can do – hang on to HIM.
Your cross is not an easy one to carry and at the same time, you never miss an opportunity to encourage others and lift them up with your faith, your knowledge and with a kind word – I am happy to know you my brother!
