Dear friends
How deep or precise do you think GOD is in charge of where we live?
Did you ever feel that GOD wanted you somewhere other than where you were at the time?
Or did you want to relocate and were seeking GOD’s face about it, were asking his approval or advice?
Perhaps you were praying for better living conditions, for GOD to give you your own house or a nicer place to rent, more space, a better location…?
For me, at some point in my life, all of the above are true.
I came to the area where I live now because I felt this is where GOD wants me.
That was 3 years ago.
And I think I have come closer to my calling, to GOD’s purpose for my life in many ways since then.
My living / housing conditions have been less than perfect though.
I don’t want to be ungrateful.
I know many people have to live in worse conditions, many people have lost their jobs, especially during the pandemic, whereas I not only not lost my job, but even found a better one which I truly enjoy and which I thank GOD for every day.
It doesn’t pay very well, but it is very exciting, challenging, rewarding and demanding in a good way – I wrote about it, some of you may remember:
I managed to land a position as a Drug and Alcohol Worker in the prison where I feel it is “my prison”.
Even more so is it not easy to find accommodation which I can afford and which is suitable for me.
I have been praying for a long time, have been wanting to move to a better place for probably about 2 years now…
And I have now received an upgrade.
And I thank GOD.
It’s still not perfect, but it is a lot better than where I live now.
Just like the job before was better than the job before that…
I feel like GOD loves a process.
Do you?
I mean, HE is GOD.
HE could do anything.
And sometimes, HE does.
Anything.
Huge miracles.
Instant healings.
Fiery furnace moments….
But most of the time – at least in my life – HE is taking us through a process, isn’t HE?
- First, there is a need, something we lack / or a pain, something we want to get rid of
This makes us speak to HIM, hand in our petition, fast, pray, sacrifice something, seek HIS face, look for HIS will… - Then we wait for an answer
This can take long, can be painful in itself, frustrating when the answer is not what we wanted to hear or when we don’t hear an answer at all or not during the time we are waiting “patiently”, which is normally not very long – this can even lead to us turning away from GOD and towards other means to get to our destination or fulfill our need… waiting is something many of us are not good at.
In my own case, it often means that I am trying everything I can to reach my goal, fulfill my need or get what I believe I am lacking, more often than not not only not getting it, but also hurting myself along the way – and then coming to the conclusion that I still need to wait on GOD for it. - Then the answer comes
Pure joy and enthusiasm – when our prayers are answered.
When we get what we want, the endresult.
HALLELUJAH!!!
But mostly, it doesn’t work like that.
Mostly, it will be a word, some insight, a revelation, some hint by THE HOLY SPIRIT about what we need to do next… what will bring us closer to our goal.
And sometimes, it doesn’t even make sense from our current perspective – and we still need to learn to trust GOD and listen when HE tells us something. - Let’s say we came this far and received a word from GOD personally for us, a Rhema
Then we need to grab it an hold on to it.
And it will first look as if everything is moving in the exact opposite direction to the one we were praying for.
This is in my understanding the enemy.
Pushing all his available opposition in our way to discourage us and to make us believe that GOD lied to us – or that the voice we heard wasn’t GOD and that GOD doesn’t exist and that we will also never have what we had been praying for in the first place, that it is stupid to believe that GOD will heal us or that we can find a job we love or that someone will love us…
We need to hold on to the word GOD gave us.
Our faith needs to see us through this phase. - Breakthrough
The breakthrough will come.
Depending on the size of our request and also on GOD’s will for us, it may be a total or a partial breakthrough and we can exhale and enjoy our victory…. until we face the next challenge and will have to go back to square (number) 1…
This may sound daunting or gloomy, but it’s also reassuring at the same time, isn’t it, my friend?
GOD will come through for you.
For all of us.
HE is in charge of every single aspect of our lives, even of our exact housing conditions.
And they – like all other conditions – can’t but improve – in the end!!!
The only way we can go as a Child of GOD is making progress, the way towards bearing more fruit, towards goodness, towards success, towards more anointing, towards more grace.
Don’t believe me?
Compare your life to a few years ago – materially, spiritually, emotionally – I am sure you will find some stuff you had to go through along the way or perhaps you are currently going through a lot…
But would you want to go back to the life when you didn’t know HIM?
Or even back to the life with HIM and in HIM a few years ago?
I have not yet met a Christian who said “yes” to that.
Because GOD takes us through.
Like the bible says from glory to glory.
It doesn’t always feel very glorious, but it feels like having a FATHER who cares about us, about us learning, growing, maturing and one day passing on what we have learned.
It feels like we are on the right path.
Making progress.
Moving away from our flaws and sins and rebellion and imperfections and striving to become more like the only perfect being ever walking the face of this earth: JESUS.
I will be moving next weekend, friends, to a place which is better than the place where I live now…
But I feel we all are constantly moving on from what we should not do, from whom we should not be with, from what we should not believe and even from what we should not preach…
Don’t you?
Did you leave anything behind recently my friend?
Or have you been asking GOD to move you out or away from something or into something or to somewhere?
Share with us if you like…?
I hope and pray that this will inspire, heal, bless and encourage you.
And that THE LORD will bless you abundantly in all areas of your life, and that HE will keep you and shine HIS face upon you and bring you peace. In JESUS’ name I pray. AMEN.
