The new normal is the old normal

Dear friends,

during this pandemic, have you noticed all these new words which never had any relevance before, like social distancing, lock down, the press is now even talking about the “new normal”.

It occurred to me that this is an attempt to steal our power and to lure us away from OUR GOD, an invitation to divination and idolatry.

We are meant to believe that all these things have power over us by accepting these new terms and by giving this virus more importance in our lives than we give to GOD.

As if a virus could change us.
As if something that is most likely created by the enemy could change our world, our “normal”.

Let me tell you the truth:

Only GOD can change our lives.

We are all the same we were before the pandemic.

We may not have been allowed to do all the things we would have liked to do (some of them we may have done anyhow, perhaps in secret, being careful not to get caught), but we have still remained children of GOD, of THE MOST HIGH all this time.

We may not have been allowed to go to physical church buildings and worship GOD, but we have all been worshipping GOD from our homes, online, perhaps even more than before, spent time with HIM, sought HIM, asked HIM – like we have done before, prayed to HIM as we always have, have prayed for others, for the world, for those who are ill or bereaved…. have asked for wisdom, protection, provision, healing, favor, blessings and all kinds of solutions for us and for the ones we love and know.

We may not have gone out, but we have never stopped to reach out to others and to spread hope, spread the GOOD NEWS, spread the love of GOD to everyone we possibly could.

If we could not physically meet with the ones we love, we have called them and prayed for them even more.

For me personally, this has been a time when I realized more than ever before that nothing, absolutely nothing and no one and no circumstance is stable, or relevant, or important or affecting me – EXCEPT one:

GOD and HIS love and my relationship with HIM.

Without GOD, I will not survive anything, not even wake up the next day – virus or not.

And I deeply understood what these circumstances are tempting us into:
to believe that outer situations, rules, orders, fears, news, lingo, other people, face masks, even toilet paper is in control of our lives.

But it is just another lie of the devil.

No pandemic, no virus, no lockdown, no social distancing and not even any personal or global disasters can change us, can change our lives.

Because GOD has us.

And HE can give us HIS peace in the midst of every storm.
HE can protect us from anything, no matter what it is.
HE can provide for us even if no one had anything, if it is HIS will that we will survive, we will.
HE fed the Israelites manna for 40 years and kept them alive in the desert.
HE walked through the fiery furnace with Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego.
HE closed the lions’ mouths for Daniel in the lions’ den.
HE gave David the victory over the giant Goliath.
HE answered Elijah’s prayer by fire.
HE made the walls of Jericho fall.
HE parted the Red Sea and the Jordan.
HE kept Jonah in the belly of a whale and released him from there.
HE raised an army from the dry bones for Ezekiel.
HE gave victory in countless battles for HIS kings.
That’s what HE did in the times of the Old Testament (just a few examples!!!).

When HE was here, walking the earth, HE performed miracles, healed and cast out devils.

And then, HE died for us.

For US.
For you and for me, for all our brothers and sister, for every single one of us.

And then HE rose.
And ever since, HE lives… as the same GOD HE always was.

HE NEVER CHANGES.

HE is the same yesterday, today and for ever.

Hebrews 13:8
⁸ Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

ALL of us have seen HIS miracles, HIS healings and HIS deliverance.

Salvation is a miracle.
Deliverance is a miracle.

And we can all tell SO many stories about what GOD has done for us.

There is NO child of GOD on earth today that doesn’t have a testimony, that doesn’t know that GOD is real and alive.

For those of us who have not always been children of GOD and can recall the times when we were not living for HIM, but living in darkness, now that was a lifechanger.

Do you remember giving your life to JESUS?

I don’t know your story, but I know one thing:
ever since you got saved, nothing has been the same as before, absolutely nothing.

Now THAT is leading to a new normal, to an entire new life.
That’s why it is called being born again.
THAT makes everything new – and in my world, it is the only power that can renew and create – GOD’s power.

The enemy never creates anything, he can only copy and lie.

I think the enemy is trying to mock this wherever he can.

But we don’t need to buy into it.

Me, I will be very careful of these new terms – to be made new and to create something new is in my world something only GOD can do … and this “new normal” is supposed to deceive us into that we are now changed.

Me, I have been changed when I got saved.

Me, I have been made new when JESUS saved me out of darkness and when HE made me a new creature.

Me, I have NOT been changed by my personal freedom being cropped a little for a few weeks.
Me I have not been changed by the fear that the media has tried to spread all over the world.
Me, I have not been moved one yota away from GOD through all these rules which were meant to discourage me, frustrate me, sadden me, make me feel lonely, desperate and powerless.

In MY life and in MY heart, this pandemic has not changed ANYTHING.

I refuse to let these things and this virus, which I believe is a bio-weapon, get to me, change me, affect my walk with GOD or my faith, not the tiniest bit.

For me, the only normal is GOD.

And HE never changes.

HE is unchangeable and so is my life, since it is HIS.

Nobody except GOD can change my life.

If HE says so and only then will I have a “new normal”, a difference, no matter what it is – and if it comes from the government or outer circumstances, it can only get to me as far as and as long as HE allows it.

They are trying to fool us into believing that the world (or the earth) belongs to them and that they can do with it and with us whatever pleases them.

But that is a lie.

They did not create the earth, GOD did.

And everything on the earth is HIS. EVERYBODY, too.

 

Psalm 24:1
The earth is the LORD’S, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.

 

And that is what they want us to forget, what they themselves want to forget, they are all HIS and their judgement will come, regardless of how strongly they believe that they are greater than GOD and that they can escape HIS judgement, it is not true, they are deceived.

Friends, let’s not fall for the lies of the enemy.

We need to be careful with what we say.

Very careful!

Proverbs 18:21
“Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.”

 

We have the power to speak life OR death!!!

And here is how the enemy does it, here is how he is trying to make us misuse this power of ours:
Because he has no real power, he makes us misuse the power we have by deception, by repeating his lies and speaking them over our lives, we declare this to be true for us.

GOD has given us the power to confess and speak things into existence, declare and decree them, speak life or death!!!

We can declare and confess negative things OR positive things over ourselves, and when we repeat what the enemy declares, we are accepting it, accepting what the enemy tries to fool us into believing.

Just like you can accept illness instead of speaking healing over your life, you can be fooled into confessing these circumstances and thus making yourself fall under them.

Let’s be vigilant and resist the devil!

Dear friends,
Let’s not speak his lies, let’s not declare his lies over our lives and accepting them thereby, let’s not repeat the lies and thus make them come true for us.

Don’t say anything different about your life, don’t let any outer rule or circumstance disturb you or discourage you, GOD is your strength, HE will take you through!

HE will take you through this just like HE has taken you through every other storm in your life before!

HE will provide for you just as HE has before.

HE still loves you just as HE has before and as HE always will, for ever, eternally!

NOTHING has changed.

NOTHING is new.

All this is is it is just another snare from the devil, trying to discourage you, trying to let you lose your faith, trying to lure you away from GOD.

It won’t work.

We won’t fall for it.

We KNOW that GOD never changes and that only HE can change our lives.

Stay strong my friend.

GOD is there with you, HE is in control.
HE always has been and HE always will be.

There is nothing new under the sun!

Ecclesiastes 1:9
“The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.”

GOD has you.

HE has us all.

Even the ones who don’t know or don’t even want HIM to have them, HE has them, too.

“Dear Heavenly Father, I acknowledge and confess that I have not lived my life for YOU to this day, but have been living for myself and in sin and that is wrong. Please forgive me of all of my sins just as I forgive others. I need YOU in my life; I want YOU in my life.
I recognize the completed work of YOUR only begotten Son JESUS CHRIST in giving HIS life for me on the cross, I believe in my heart JESUS is LORD and that HE was raised from the dead and ask for YOUR forgiveness, which YOU have made freely available to me through this sacrifice.
Come into my life now, LORD!
Take up residence in my heart and be my KING, my LORD, and my SAVIOUR!
From this day forward, I will no longer be controlled by sin, or the desire to please myself, but I will follow YOU all the days of my life. Those days are in YOUR hands.
I ask this Jesus name.
Amen.”

The next thing to do is get a bible and find a church where you can receive further instructions, so that your new life in THE LORD may prosper and that you will become who HE made you to be.
