Dear friends,
the story of how the cigarette case came to this use and was able to maintain the honor of going with me wherever I go, could be a post of its own, but I will be generous today and give you 2 for the “price” of one and you can use this idea for quitting unwanted habits as well 😉
When THE LORD told me to give up smoking, I thought I would never be able to do it, I had been smoking for more than 30 years (!!) and I told HIM that HE would need to help me – the rest is history…
So what HE inspired me to do, was write encouraging scriptures on little index cards and put them in my cigarette case together with some cigarettes and my lighter – in the beginning of my detox I had only a few cards and more cigarettes and when I started getting stronger, fewer cigarettes and more cards, since I had written more of them… what shall I say, it was still hard, yes, but after a few days I had replaced inhaling smoke with an intake of GOD’s word completely – and I have never looked back and I still carry the case and the cards with me wherever I go… this was almost 2 years ago by the way – PRAISE GOD!
You may think of a fancier way to design them or to store them, for me, this entirely “did the trick” and I use them often when I need GOD.
Plus also for spiritual warfare and inspiration from THE HOLY GHOST – moments when I am lost, moments when I crave something, moments when I lack, feel inadequate… moments when I just want to get closer to MY BELOVED SAVIOR…
To be honest, I used to have all kinds of card decks before I got saved – tarot cards, angel cards, all kinds of other cards, spiritual cards and I loved to start my day with them – they all weren’t godly, of course, I am glad they are gone!
But what the enemy can do, which is copy everything GOD has, we can do it as well, at least the format and the way of using them – I love it and I thought I’d share it with you, perhaps you would like to use the “card idea” – or just the scriptures, it’s up to you, I find them useful for many things, for getting into a conversation about GOD on the street or on the bus as well, but mainly for learning to memorize, because the best warfare is the one where you can shout back at the devil right away from your heart without having to tell him to “hold on a moment” because you have to look the scriptures up, I think you know what I mean – that’s not really FIRING back, now, is it…
So I recommend you find your own way to keep them handy and I also recommend you memorize them and also add some scriptures you particularly like – and let me know what came out of it, please?
Remember, GOD’s WORD is our best and strongest weapon against the enemy and firing back with scripture is the absolute best way to fight back!
Why is that?
Because I say so?
GOD forbid.
I may have been in the battle very intensely for a very long time and I could tell you what in my opinion and from my experience works (and THE WORD works!!!) and doesn’t work, but that might not make my findings universal and true – except GOD had said it!
And not only did HE say it, it’s also the way HE HIMSELF fought the devil when HE was here on earth as JESUS CHRIST.
Also, some of them are good to ponder on, because they contain promises from OUR FATHER to us and we what I call “pray them back to HIM”, which means remind HIM of them and stand on them and not only proclaim them, but also claim them.
And some of them, you may find helpful to thrust at your enemies – supernaturally in the spirit, of course! I do not recommend doing it in the flesh, but who knows, perhaps I will become more bold and will change my mind about this one day…

And had I not known that this works, I would have learned it now while looking and typing these up for you, because after going through them all, I feel almost invincible!
I admit, it will take you a few days to gather the ones you really love together and write them up, but it is SO worth it and you can keep them forever… and the best thing is: this knowledge is absolutely guaranteed to WORK plus it is FREE, because it is in your bible or on the internet everywhere.
GOD is AWESOME, isn’t HE? HE has given us ALL we ever need to WIN!
