Dear friends,
do you know what a miracle is?
I found these definitions in 2 different dictionaries online:
miracle
Definition of miracle
miracle
-
n.An event that appears inexplicable by the laws of nature and so is held to be supernatural in origin or an act of God.
-
n.One that excites admiring awe; a wonderful or amazing event, act, person, or thing. synonym: wonder.
-
n.A miracle play.
Have you seen one yourself?
Or has GOD perhaps even let you perform one in HIS name?
Have you prayed for someone and they got healed or delivered?
Or have you witnessed someone else do something like that?
Or has GOD answered your prayer or the prayer of someone you know and has HE done something miraculous for you or for them?
HE said HE would.
Mark 16:17-20
17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
These are just a few of the miracles that JESUS said we would perform in HIS name, but there are many more miracles in the bible which HE performed – and also GOD in the Old Testament – too many to name them all here… but JESUS said something general about us performing miracles as well:
Matthew 21:21
“Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done.”
He relates it to faith in this passage.
So FAITH is the basic and essential requirement for us to perform miracles.
We need to be a believer.
We need to believe in GOD.
In the GOD of the bible.
The GOD of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, The God of Israel, The Father of JESUS CHRIST.
This means also that we mustn’t lie or deceive or fake anything, let alone signs and wonders.
It is a crying shame what happens in some so called “churches”, which are really satanic temples, because they are NOT worshipping OUR GOD!
Here is just one example:
They are deceiving in the name of GOD, which is not only harmful for them who fall for their snares and give them money, but it also damages the image of Christianity in general, makes people doubt the integrity of ALL churches and makes them stay away from GOD.
JESUS warned us about this, that it would come:
Matthew 24:24
For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
A miracle is a miracle.
And only a miracle is a miracle.
And only who does it in the name of THE LORD is performing a miracle.
Not only are these things not miracles, they are nothing but lies, but also the fake miracles we are about to see, the ones we will BELIEVE, we will FALL FOR, they won’t be miracles either and we better learn what a miracle IS!
There are fake practitioners always in every profession. We have all read bout fake doctors without examns having practiced for many years, doing surgery, prescribing medication – until they were found out and exposed – and fired, of course.
Similar stories for ever other profession…
These people have to find themselves a new career or go into exile and do the same trick in a new country if they can and want to…
They will all go to hell, that’s for sure.
But deceiving people about GOD, that’s something else.
I personally believe that that IS committing the unforgiveable sin and blaspheming against THE HOLY SPIRIT.
THE HOLY SPIRIT is the GOD which moves and performs the miracles – at least sometimes.
When a miracle is fake and being staged, there is no HOLY SPIRIT involved and these people are pretending to operate under the anointing of GOD.
I am sure that they will not only go to hell, but will have a “special” place there reserved only for them. They may be boiled in an extra heated caldron perhaps – or whatever the torments there look like, I am sure theirs will be even worse than that of the “average sinner”.
There is one statement in the video which stood out for me:
“The Journey with God involves the Old Man. It’s not an impediment of your intellect.”
Whenever something needs you to believe it in spite of your logic thinking, it is NOT a miracle.
I think we can learn and remind ourselves from this and have a few aspects we can cling to when confronted with something we see or hear in order to discern if it is a miracle or not:
- Miracles will never contradict the Word of GOD
This may seem obvious, but take a prisoner for instance, if they said the prison doors opened for them and they were able to walk out, would you consider it a miracle?
Me, I only would if they were Paul or Peter.
Not Jim or Nathaniel who may have committed real crimes and in my world of beliefs, MY GOD would not free them from prison…
I mean, GOD didn’t say that we would be in prison during our lives here on earth if we committed a crime, but what HE said is that we would be judged – in my understanding, this means we will be judged by HIM, but it doesn’t mean that we won’t be judged here on earth as well.
The judges on earth may or may not all be ordained by GOD, there are certainly at least some of them who work for the other one, but what is clear is that they are not the highest judges existing – even though they all believe they are.
The final judgement will happen for everyone regardless if they have even been convicted of the crimes they have done on earth…
Anyhow, this is not the topic today, I was only trying to illustrate what may LOOK like a miracle, but when you think about it, it can’t be one, because GOD would not have let this happen – and there may be better examples for this kind of “fake miracle” but I hope you can follow the idea… - another one is when the person performing the miracle is NOT a believer
GOD will not let anyone who is not working in HIS name perform a miracle
Not only does it not meet the requirements, but it’s also unscriptural (see #1)
What HE doesn’t exclude is that someone who is not a believe will be receiving the miracle, will get healed or delivered for instance.
This is why we have specific scripture warning from deliverance without letting THE HOLY SPIRIT fill this person / their “house” lest the evil spirits, who have been cast out, return and find the house clean, swept and empty (Matthew 12:44 – 45) and will then return and bring 7 evil spirits more wicked than himself with him.
This also excludes false prophets or false teachers, so we need to educate ourselves about how to recognize them - When we analyze the content of the miracle – can it be from GOD?
Similar to #1, it can’t contradict the word of GOD, but what it is that happened? Would the end result be something OUR GOD would want to happen?
Healings for instance, I believe all healings would be pleasing to GOD, because I personally believe that GOD will never give us a disease or will never want us to be ill, that all diseases are not from HIM (except when they are curses pronounced by HIM according to HIS word, that’s the only exception I know), so when a healing is what happened, it CAN be from GOD.
Wealth, prosperity or money blessings…
The GOD of the bible, OUR FATHER, HE has blessed people in the bible with material riches, yes.
At the same time, HE tells us that we cannot adore HIM and the mammon at the same time, that we have to choose and that it is easier for a Camel to go through a needle’s eye than for a rich man to enter the gates of heaven.
This is what we need to bear in mind when we see something which is being called a miracle and it is is entailing a financial blessing.
If it is that a world famous televangelist, the pastor of a “mega church” is being “given” a Rolls Royce or a private jet from “GOD”, I doubt that it is MY GOD who gave it to him.
If it is a poor widow who wasn’t able to pay for surgery she needed and she was given the money from somewhere, then I am more prone to believe that this was from GOD, from MY HEAVENLY FATHER…
You know what I mean…
Friends, this is important, we need to have our discernment trained and we need to have not only a theoretical understanding about the mind of GOD, but a direct, personal and intimate relationship with HIM so that we can ask HIM anything and at all times and HE will speak to us and tell us the truth.
We can’t walk through life and never learn how to recognize HIS voice, or let me better say differentiate HIS voice from the voice of the deceiver and then expect not to be deceived.
In my opinion, only regular communication through prayer and asking for wisdom and discernment and developing our sense of GOD’s TRUTH can keep us from being deceived.
And who wouldn’t want to be able to tell when someone is coming and when this someone is saying that HE is JESUS – who wouldn’t want to be able to tell if HE is the TRUE JESUS, THE SON OF GOD, OUR SAVIOR, the one we want to follow to heaven – or the other one, who if we follow him will take us straight to hell…?
A vital skill to have I believe, to know true from fake.
Don’t you?
Only when we learn and practice will we be able to tell. And when we ask THE HOLY SPIRIT to give us the gift of discernment – in my opinion the most valuable and important one of the gifts…
1 Peter 5:8
“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:”
Friends, had you been in this church in the video above, do you think that you would have known that these miracles are fake?
Me, I am not 100% sure.
At least would I most likely not have known that this one woman got payed for saying she was HIV positive and she wasn’t and then they had a positive report.
I wouldn’t have known that they fake doctor’s reports in this church.
But if I had been there for more than just this situation, had heard the sermon, had seen the pastor speak some more, I hope I would have been able to tell that he preaches heresies and then, I would have doubted his miracles and would have most likely left even before he could start his performances… hopefully!!!
These people are not stupid, the ones he deceived.
They are desperate.
Like many of us are as well.
And they are looking for help, for someone who can change their lives for the better.
They probably have tried a lot before they came to this church and none of it had worked.
It is not so uncommon to need help – in fact, I believe we all do at some point in our lives and from my own history, I can relate to looking for help in all the wrong places, I can even relate to believing in charlatans and fake methods – I have personally been there and I was not stupid, I was deceived and ignorant of the truth, of THE WORD OF GOD.
God said in
Hosea 4:6
My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.
So I think the course we all need to take is to know HIM, to know HIS word, to learn to hear HIS voice and to meet, communicate and commune with HIM on a regular, daily, hourly, minutely basis – this is the only remedy which can heal us, save us and who knows, we may perform a real miracle in HIS name when we are close to HIM…
I hope and pray that this would inspire, heal and bless you. And that THE LORD will bless you abundantly in all areas of your life, that HE will keep you, shine HIS face upon you and give you peace. In JESUS’ name I pray. AMEN.
