Disclaimer: this post is likely to offend many people reading this, but I am here to speak the truth (GOD’s truth) in love!
Speaking in tongues is a very controversial topic – amongst us Christians and unbelievers as well.
Since this is my blog, I will take the liberty of expressing my opinion and this opinion comes from doing research, reading the bible, from personal experience, from listening to GOD and from doing my best to obey HIM.
I have lately discovered some new aspects, benefits and effects of speaking in tongues and that’s why I even feel the need to comment on it. I find it encouraging and strengthening and I have been receiving “downloads of understanding” when praying in tongues.
But let’s start from the beginning, shall we?
As some of you know, I didn’t get saved within a church, but online from watching a video where Derek Prince prayed over people experiencing symptoms of demonisation.
So I think it is fair to say that my roots in the faith are rather independent and naturally unfazed by any denominational doctrine, and it took a while until I connected with church communities at all and another while until I found one where I believe I can stay and relate and belong – at least to some extend…..
What I believe about my beginnings as a truly committed Christian is that I received my teachings and understanding directly from GOD.
I perceived this period where nobody was officially speaking into my life as a time when GOD helped me to learn to discern correct from false teachings and helped me find my place in the body of CHRIST.
That’s how I interpreted what was happening when I was guided through the bible during my alone time with GOD, guided through my new life and through online teachings and resources after this experience of getting saved.
Much of it was about deliverance, obviously, as this was what I needed the most at the time and for a long time to come after the day of my salvation – which is by the way almost exactly 8 years ago, it was in February – PRAISE GOD AND THANK HIM FOR SAVING ME!!!!!
When I got saved, I immediately experienced my “new heavenly language” that I hadn’t ever spoken before and I didn’t even know what it was exactly and that there is so much “fuss” about it, all I knew was that it came from GOD and that it would help me…. I had sometimes experienced random utterings when I was in trances, not godly trances of course, and I had believed that these utterings were healing or divine or something, however, as we know, they weren’t, and when I experienced speaking in tongues IMMEDIATELY after getting saved, I instantly knew that this one is different and that it is truly from GOD.
It has been a source of strengthening, encouraging, of understanding things more spiritually than logically and of speaking mysteries to GOD that I don’t even fully understand myself and I have experienced peace from praying in tongues, especially in very dire and difficult situations.
Which gives me – in my world – the experience of the difference between a heavenly language which is from GOD and one which is NOT.
So I want to deal with what I call “false tongues”.
I hear it SO much amongst believers and yes, in churches as well, even in the prayer meetings where leaders are praying online together with the rest of us who have signed on, and they are the ones leading the prayers and I am utterly shocked of how many of them do NOT speak in tongues and nobody says anything – and I am even more shocked of how “high ranking” so many of those are who do NOT speak in tongues.
“bababababa” is not a language, it is (fake and evil!!) stammering!!!!
It makes no sense and it cannot be interpreted, which is a biblical requirement for tongues, that those who have the gift will be able to interpret the expressions – nobody can interpret “babababa”!
Same thing with repeating the same “Shabarababa” (sometimes a bit longer, but always repeating the same “studied/ learnt/rehearsed” sequence) – this is NOT speaking in tongues, it doesn’t flow, doesn’t come from the spirit, it is a “performance” and it makes MY spirit cringe!
It is in fact either trying to speak in tongues (if we look at it benevolently) OR even PRETENDING to speak in tongues and having the HOLY SPIRIT (which is in my opinion the one sin which is unforgivable, as it blasphemes the HOLY SPIRIT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) and thus also misleading less mature believers and spreading false doctrine and sin within the church.
The way I see it is IF you don’t speak in tongues, SHUT UP (yes, I said what I said!!!) and pray in your worldly language, you are doing much more harm than good, and it also demonstrates that you have opened the door for the (evil) spirit of religion (many more will come!) – you need to repent, no matter who you are and how ordained you are in the church, GOD knows that your tongues aren’t real and HE will judge you for doing this, you may even be denied heaven for it!!!!!!!!!
In my experience and in my understanding, speaking in tongues sounds like full sentences in a language we personally don’t understand – at least not with our logical minds – like the languages we speak fluently.
I sometimes experience “sequences” which I reckon sound similar to what I would imagine for example Russian or Chinese would sound like – if I knew what it truly sounds like – or which sounds similar to a language I know a little bit, Italian for instance, and I believe this is confirmed by many testimonies where people from a different country were in the congregation and someone was speaking in tongues and someone in the audience came up and said that they had been speaking in their language from their place of origin – it happens a lot and in these cases, it happens without the person uttering these things in what they believe is their heavenly language and it is truly a different language which they have never learnt consciously, it has been given to their spirit.
THIS is actually exactly what happened in Acts 2!
Everybody was uttering words given by THE HOLY SPIRIT and everybody understood everybody.
So I didn’t make this understanding of speaking in tongues up, it is the understanding that the bible, GOD’s WORD, depicts.
Now, the other place where the phenomenon of speaking in tongues is elaborated on in the bible is 1 Corinthians 12 and 14, where it is made clear (I am summarizing and paraphrasing) that spiritual gifts are proof of a person being filled with THE HOLY SPIRIT, and that there is the gift of speaking in tongues and the gift of interpreting tongues, which indicates that there would be a way that these expressions come about that they could be interpreted, similar to like a “worldly” language can be….. also, in Chapter 14, it is clarified that speaking in tongues is less desirable as a spiritual gift than prophesying as it doesn’t edify the church, except someone can interpret the tongues.
Me, I can sometimes interpret my own or someone else’s tongues – IF they are truly from GOD!
In my own case, I always have a sense of the topic or the direction of what I am saying and I often understand things from speaking in tongues which I haven’t understood before. Same with listening to someone else praying in tongues – sometimes I know exactly what they are talking about, sometimes, it is only a vague idea of what they may be saying, and sometimes, I learn a lot from someone speaking in tongues – so for me, my own tongues and what I call “real tongues” are highly edifying.
What I call “false tongues” on the other hand, is highly annoying, distracting and alienating me – and I believe that is exactly what it is supposed to do.
From my past and background, coming out of the occult, it is vital for me to have discernment.
In fact, discernment is in my opinion the most important spiritual gift and in my case, it is even a matter of life or death.
And I hope we all agree that the church is full of agents of satan, false teachers, false prophets and witches who are sent to the church to hurt believers, to dismantle them, to bring them away from GOD and to fulfill the devil’s mandate, which is to steal, kill and destroy.
OF COURSE they will be in the prayer meetings, because that’s where the POWER OF GOD will be created, will be imparted, will be spread and magnified……
OF COURSE they will be in the front line of leadership – because that’s where the truly powerful and pure Christians will arrive at some point and if they haven’t been taken out by “lesser agents”(the devil and his kingdom of darkness are very organised and very hierarchical!!), they themselves will do their best to “finish them off”……..
Even the hype about speaking in tongues and many churches doing special sessions to “help” people to receive tongues is NOT from GOD in my opinion and understanding.
As stated in the bible, it is a spiritual gift.
Gift entails the root “given”, given from GOD, so what I believe is that we can pray for it and desire it, but we cannot help others get it, because we did not earn it or obtain it for something we did, only GOD can decide who would have it and who would not.
And this is where the devil ALWAYS comes in: he will pretend he has something only GOD has and then he will pretend that people can get it from him.
There are countless examples and we ALL have fallen prey for one or the other “fake copy” of something we desired, and have misunderstood that there is no other way to receive this than IF and WHEN GOD decides to give it to us.
Marriage, love, ministry, healing, anointing, prophetic gifts, wealth, anything we would strive for can either be given by GOD or be “falsely given” by the devil………..
In my case, I have been speaking to demons prior to getting saved, I was a medium, a psychic – just like in the bible when Saul went to the witch of Endor in 1 Samuel 28 for advice, the information which I received from the spirits I was talking to was very accurate and correct, but it still wasn’t GOD who had given me this information, I had been talking to demons without knowing it.
I believe this is what false tongues do to people and it is a very satanic thing to use them, promote them and even dilute the true meaning, origin and purpose of tongues.
I have seen it in many churches and I pray that GOD will expose and judge those who are guilty of doing it deliberately, and that HE will open the eyes of those who are currently ignorant and don’t know any better.
I think this gives the scripture in Proverbs a completely new meaning:
Proverbs 18:21
21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue:
and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.
Because as we know, the wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23) but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
In my understanding, speaking in “false tongues” is a sin and even the unforgivable sin.
But what it is AT LEAST is a lie.
(Which is also a sin)
You are pretending - before GOD – that HE gave you this gift, but the truth is you are only stammering and pretending that you are gifted, which you are truly not or at least not in this area.
You may be meaning well, but this is not helpful for the body of Christ, let alone for new believers who may feel alienated by this stammering or may even feel inadequate because they haven’t received the gift of speaking in tongues and may thus feel pressured to pretend as well and start stammering themselves, which will mean they will also commit this sin and if I am right and it blasphemes the HOLY SPIRIT, it will mean that everybody involved in this will not be allowed entry into heaven – and if you are a leader involved in this, you will be responsible for the souls you dragged with you!!!!!!!
GOD didn’t say that it is wrong to pray in your “normal language”!
All HE said is that HE doesn’t want us to use “vain repetitions as the heathen do”.
Matthew 6:7
But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do:
for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.
And we all know how much HE HATED hypocrisy and the Pharisees.
If you don’t speak in tongues and you are pretending to do so, you are a hypocrite – AT LEAST.
And GOD doesn’t want us to be religious and follow the rituals or what the “Pharisees” say, but HE wants us to have a relationship with HIM.
Who do you think you are speaking to stammering like this?
GOD ???????????
Let me tell you who will ALWAYS be there and listening: the enemy.
He will affirm you, encourage you, even confirm you – but again, please look at what GOD says, study HIS WORD, do your research and don’t just blindly repeat what the leaders do, not even what your pastor does, if he would be the one stammering!
YOU are going to give an account for all you have done before GOD and HE will ask you, especially after you have read this post all the way to the end:
“My child, what have you done to find out the true meaning, purpose, intention, use and the way to receive the gift of speaking in tongues?”
What can you tell HIM?
Please, I am not here to “know anything better”!!!
I am here to explain what I found so that hopefully many people can escape their prison of deception – like I have – and I am not out to get anyone except the devil and his minions!!!
So if you are offended by this, PLEASE pray about it and do your research and look into this.

And this is the only reason why I am posting it, because I feel led to and I feel that it will liberate some of the people reading it – and the truth shall make us all free and this is what I am devoted to, spreading the truth of GOD and exposing the lies of the enemy.
